Sethupathy Government Arts College, located at Achunthanvayal in Ramanathapuram District, Tamil Nadu, is a government institution established in 1965 with the aim of providing affordable and quality higher education to students from rural and semi-urban backgrounds. Affiliated with Alagappa University, Karaikudi, the college offers a wide range of undergraduate, postgraduate, M.Phil., and Ph.D. programmes across arts, science, and commerce streams, catering to the diverse academic interests of learners.
The college offers undergraduate programmes including B.A. in Economics, English, and Tamil; B.Sc. in Mathematics, Physics, Botany, Chemistry, Zoology, Marine Biology, and Computer Science; and B.Com. (General) and B.Com. (Computer Applications). At the postgraduate level, programmes include M.A. in Tamil, English, and Economics; M.Com.; and M.Sc. in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Botany.
